Moving Forward

I am not one to paint a picture of what may happen. For many years I had a picture in my head of what I felt my future should look like. This picture that I would paint in my head created a lot of problems for me. So while todays post asks me to write out what a day will look like for me in the future I am choosing to write things I am working towards that could be a piece of my future. Painting a picture of what I think 'should' be in my life (should, could, and would are 3 no no words in my vocabulary these days) only causes me more anxiety and disappointment when that is not how something ends up working out. So here is a look at things I am working towards that will impact my future in some way.
  • Getting through student teaching and experiencing everything I can while in the classroom.
  • Graduating College this coming May.
  • Getting a Job Teaching.
  • Raising awareness about Depression and Anxiety and the stigmas that come with them.
  • Sharing my story and being open about my challenges.
  • Working through the challenges I still face in my fight against anxiety and depression.
  • Being positive towards even the hardest situations.

That's all for now. More to come tomorrow for day 16. We are half way through the challenge!
