This is a Recent Picture of me!

Here are my 15 facts!

1. My Dad and other extended family members suffer from Alpha-1
2. Prior to us finding out my Dad had Alpha we had never heard of the disease before
3. My Dad is one of my Hero's.... He suffers through so much and still manages to make it to every softball game I ever play and is always there to cheer me on!
4. I use to play softball and my dad and I loved the moments we had in the car together driving far away to play in a Tourney... I think those moments are some of the best I can remember
5. We have a dog that we adore even when he's being bad!
6. My favorite quote is "Every Breath is a Chance to Create a Memory" and I firmly believe that!
7. One of my goals in life is to help other families to never have to go through what my family is with this horrible disease and to find a cure for Alpha!
8. I am just like my parents... I act like them in every way and people aren't shy about telling me that I act just like them!
9. We have known about my dad having alpha for 3 and a half years
10. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my Family!
11. I feel that I need to improve my outlook on things and have a little more hope and faith that things will fall into place.
12. I am a firm believer that everything has a reason for happening even if its not something that we wanted to happen in our lives
13. I would love to start and organization to promote alpha-1 awareness so that others do not have to go through what my Dad is going through or what my family is going through
14. Alpha- 1 takes the breath right out of your life
15. Hope is the key to finding a cure and fighting through this...

A Special Place

It has been way to long since I have written. My senior year has taken over my life! Since I last wrote school has started and Senior year is going much better than Junior year ever did. I love my classes that I am taking of course with exceptions here or there and I am just so thrilled it is my senior year I think I will be able to look past any negative situation in some positive form. Marching band and School are taking up all my free time. There is no time to be messing around, I am at school, doing homework, at a rehearsal, lesson or practicing it seems. So to take a break from the crazy month that it has been my family and I are going to be traveling to our favorite place! We will be spending the weekend in Vermont. Day 11- A Picture of your Best Friend Since I will be away this weekend I have decided that I will post for the next two days awhile! My Mom and I! My best friend in the whole world is my Mom! No matter what life brings shes always the one there helping me to get through it! I can tell her everything!! She always puts me first and always is there for me!! I look up to her everyday! Love you mom! For Nothing is Impossible with God!- Luke 1:37

"You are exactly where God wants you to be at   this very moment. Every Experience is part of   his divine plan." This quote has hit home with me the last few days. Its words speak to me. There are so many days when I question why things are happening in my life or why things can't just work out a little bit easier but this quote reminds me that they are working out a little bit easier then I like to think they are. It reminds me that everything I do and all the experiences I go through are part of a bigger plan and a bigger picture. Some experiences I never question because they are fun and don't bring me any emotional upset or pain. It's when the difficult experiences come that I begin to forget this quote. I begin to forget what my life really is about. It is not just that bad experience that defines me. There is so much more that defines me and my life.
