The Begining in Review...



This week is finals week at LVC, therefor meaning most of us are sleep deprived, hungry, and overall in just about the worst moods we have all be in all semester. I must say this being my first experience of college "hell week" actually hasn't been to incredibly bad. I lucked out with my finals schedule and only have 2 finals and a paper to write before concluding my first semester, which I am concluding a few days before most. I must say although the tests aren't causing the normal unbearable stress that requires super powers to get through I am ready for the semester to be over. Its time, I am ready to enjoy home and family for 5 weeks and not have to worry about writing a paper, lesson plan, or studying for a test. Looking back at my first semester here at LVC I must say its been great!! I now have a second "home", with loving a friends and a comfortable community atmosphere. When I first set foot on campus on August 19th I came in with no friends, unaware of what it was going to be like, how I was going to do in classes, and if I really was going to like it as I had anticipated. I had the fear and butterflies that most college freshman experience I am sure. But 15 weeks later I can say I have made incredible friends, had incredible experience, and have begun to find my place in this new adventure that I am on. I have found that I love what I am coming to school to do, teaching is my passion and I love every minute of it. Leaving my pre-school that I was doing my field work at was probably the hardest thing I have done this semester. I have become close to these kids, seeing them grow, learn, and become polite and creative children. My favorite part of my week was going to see them and get pictures from them, hugs, and see the progress and excitement they had in learning new things. I know next semester I will be in a new classroom and have new experiences but nothing will ever be like my first semester, when I truly became part of the LVC family and began this journey of a life time!!!

A Special Place

It has been way to long since I have written. My senior year has taken over my life! Since I last wrote school has started and Senior year is going much better than Junior year ever did. I love my classes that I am taking of course with exceptions here or there and I am just so thrilled it is my senior year I think I will be able to look past any negative situation in some positive form. Marching band and School are taking up all my free time. There is no time to be messing around, I am at school, doing homework, at a rehearsal, lesson or practicing it seems. So to take a break from the crazy month that it has been my family and I are going to be traveling to our favorite place! We will be spending the weekend in Vermont. Day 11- A Picture of your Best Friend Since I will be away this weekend I have decided that I will post for the next two days awhile! My Mom and I! My best friend in the whole world is my Mom! For Nothing is Impossible with God!- Luke 1:37

"You are exactly where God wants you to be at   this very moment. Every Experience is part of   his divine plan." This quote has hit home with me the last few days. Its words speak to me. There are so many days when I question why things are happening in my life or why things can't just work out a little bit easier but this quote reminds me that they are working out a little bit easier then I like to think they are. It reminds me that everything I do and all the experiences I go through are part of a bigger plan and a bigger picture. Some experiences I never question because they are fun and don't bring me any emotional upset or pain. It's when the difficult experiences come that I begin to forget this quote. I begin to forget what my life really is about. It is not just that bad experience that defines me. There is so much more that defines me and my life.
