Sandy, Halloween, and Visiting


Well now that it has been a week since I have written I decided it was time to write once again! I always promise myself that I am going to write more often and it never happens!! In the last week a lot has happened, especially with the crazy weather that has been hitting the north east! The hurricane was not bad out here out LVC but was so devastating in many other areas; my heart goes out to all of those who have been affected by the storm. Here at LVC we had two days of class cancelled and as I am sure you can imagine that set us college kids into a crazy state. We all caught up on sleep and work, well maybe just some work and hung out together. I think the most common thing I did was sleep and watch movies. In the two days without class I slept a total of almost 22 hours! It was amazing and much needed!! Since we were lucky enough to not loss power in the valley movies and video games were huge. All day Monday and Tuesday we watched movies and Monday night some of us hung out colored like we were five (because we all know coloring is the best) and some of the guys played their video games. There were a few flickers of lights and of course  alot of rain which made walking anywhere seem to be an extremely painful experience! But it was a good time for all, but boy was my 8am rough to wake up for this morning after being use to sleeping till 1pm the last few days! Before the Hurricane we had a football game which was chilly, you could tell the storm was coming but it wasn’t too bad and the Halloween costumes made it even better!! Right after the football game I took a trip out to see my best friend Katina!! I hadn’t seen her in over two months but it felt like forever!! It was so fantastic to see her and catch up even though I was only there for 24 hours (not even). Now it is back to the normal class schedule and crazy busyness of my life. Tomorrow is my advising meeting for 2nd semester! I can’t even believe that the 1st semester is almost over! Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was moving in for band camp and here we are getting ready for the spring semester!! Well all for now, hopefully I will write more often! It has been way to long since I have written. My senior year has taken over my life! Since I last wrote school has started and Senior year is going much better than Junior year ever did. I love my classes that I am taking of course with exceptions here or there and I am just so thrilled it is my senior year I think I will be able to look past any negative situation in some positive form. Marching band and School are taking up all my free time. There is no time to be messing around, I am at school, doing homework, at a rehearsal, lesson or practicing it seems. So to take a break from the crazy month that it has been my family and I are going to be traveling to our favorite place! We will be spending the weekend in Vermont. Day 11- A Picture of your Best Friend Since I will be away this weekend I have decided that I will post for the next two days awhile! My Mom and I! My best friend in the whole world is my Mom! For Nothing is Impossible with God!- Luke 1:37

"You are exactly where God wants you to be at   this very moment. Every Experience is part of   his divine plan." This quote has hit home with me the last few days. Its words speak to me. There are so many days when I question why things are happening in my life or why things can't just work out a little bit easier but this quote reminds me that they are working out a little bit easier then I like to think they are. It reminds me that everything I do and all the experiences I go through are part of a bigger plan and a bigger picture. Some experiences I never question because they are fun and don't bring me any emotional upset or pain. It's when the difficult experiences come that I begin to forget this quote.
