Fall Break

Fall break came and went very quickly, as most breaks do. it amazes me how quickly it came and went. I apologize for my epic fail to post during fall break, but it was a very busy 4 days that didn't allow me much time. My break was filled with family and friends. It was great to see some people that I have not seen in so long. Friday night I enjoyed going to the football game at my high school with one of my dear friends Kate. It was so fantastic to see her and many others. This was the first time I got to see The PHS marching band this season, and let me tell you they are looking fantastic this year!! I am so proud of the work all of them have done and loved seeing all of their smiling faces, especially the fluties :) I also got to see my best friends family (a.k.a. my 2nd family) as well as some other friends and "families". I was thrilled to see some of them and to catch up. After the game I spent some much need time catching up with Kate! Saturday involved a lot of time with my former marching band. I enjoyed spending time with the flute section at their sectional and having a fun time over lunch. Later that night I returned to Spectrum of Sound which is Pennridges home show. This year it was not only Pennridges home show it also was the first time the PHS marching band was going to debut brand new uniforms in approximately 20 years! It was an exciting night for everyone, we finally have those new uniforms we all have been dreaming about for the past few years in our hands. Let me tell you they are extremely amazing compared to the uniforms that seem to be almost ancient! Kate and I were sitting in the stands and when we first saw the entire band turn around in those new uniforms, tears almost began to flow. A sense of pride came over us! It was incredible to see! It may sound ridiculous but it was a long time coming for these uniforms, it took a lot of hard work by many people, and was a "dream" of the PHS band for a long time now. In between my time with the PHS band I was spending time with family and just chilling out at home. Sunday I went to church and visited with my church family who I have not seen since I left, it was once again nice to catch up with people back at home. After that I went out with Kate again for some good food and finished my weekend up hanging out with family. I had a fantastic fall break but it was time to come back to LVC, it was beginning to get to quite at home. I am sure that nothing will be quiet this week at LVC it is homecoming week!! The excitement is rising and preparations are beginning for this weekend. All for now!! Write soon!!
