This weekend my life consisted of band and only band. We had our normal Saturday morning rehearsal before a home game which was great although the score did not turn out as we had hoped. My parents came to the game which was nice to see them in the stands once again like they were in high school. The stands as always were a ton of fun especially with the excitement of the game yesterday. There were definitely plenty of ups and downs. After the game I went to dinner with mom and dad, it was nice to get a chance to talk to them and be able to spend a bit of time together. After spending time with them I quickly fell asleep, it had been a long and tiring day. I am fighting off a cold that has come from much of the band who also has a cold, trust me the band shares everything, including germs, so it doesn't shock me that I fell asleep so quickly.  Then bright and early Sunday morning the Pride of the Valley hopped onto some buses to travel to Allentown for the Collegiate Band Festival. On the way there most of us were sleeping or doing homework that we knew we weren't going to have time for before our Monday classes. Once we arrived at the festival we got sometime to walk around and watch the other bands. I really enjoyed seeing what the other college marching bands were doing. After sometime watching we got ready to perform. The performance experience was great. We did well with the show and enjoyed the large crowd that LVC does not normally experience considering we are a rather small school and in the middle of farms.  The festival was not only a great performance experience but I also gave me the chance to see  some friends from my high school and Prague. It was great to see all of them and to see many people I have been missing dearly.  I loved spending time with my PHS "family" who always show the love, even when you are no longer in the band! Thanks for the love and cheering yesterday to all my PHS family!! You made me remember how much I love you guys and miss you!! After the festival The Pride of the Valley loaded back up into  the busses for a ride back to LVC. Overall this weekend was fantastic, even though it was hectic and extremly busy. Well time to get back to homework and studying! Back to the Photo/writing Challange tomorrow!!

It has been way to long since I have written. My senior year has taken over my life! Since I last wrote school has started and Senior year is going much better than Junior year ever did. I love my classes that I am taking of course with exceptions here or there and I am just so thrilled it is my senior year I think I will be able to look past any negative situation in some positive form. Marching band and School are taking up all my free time. There is no time to be messing around, I am at school, doing homework, at a rehearsal, lesson or practicing it seems. So to take a break from the crazy month that it has been my family and I are going to be traveling to our favorite place! We will be spending the weekend in Vermont. Day 11- A Picture of your Best Friend Since I will be away this weekend I have decided that I will post for the next two days awhile! My Mom and I! My best friend in the whole world is my Mom! For Nothing is Impossible with God!- Luke 1:37

"You are exactly where God wants you to be at   this very moment. Every Experience is part of   his divine plan." This quote has hit home with me the last few days. Its words speak to me. There are so many days when I question why things are happening in my life or why things can't just work out a little bit easier but this quote reminds me that they are working out a little bit easier then I like to think they are. It reminds me that everything I do and all the experiences I go through are part of a bigger plan and a bigger picture. Some experiences I never question because they are fun and don't bring me any emotional upset or pain. It's when the difficult experiences come that I begin to forget this quote. I begin to forget what my life really is about. It is not just that bad experience that defines me. There is so much more that defines me and my life.
