Almost there

It has been far to long since my last post! Alot is going on in my life, a lot of change. I have only 13 days left at the high school, which brings an excitement along with a fear of leaving my comfort zone and moving onto new things. Within the next 13 days there will be many lasts, many new beginnings and a whole bunch of fun. I have been reflecting on my four years at PHS and its amazing to see what can happen in 4 years. When I entered high school my only focus was softball, nothing else was more important at the time. I had tournaments every weekend and spent 90% of my time with a glove and softball in my hand. Boy have things changed. As high school progressed I started to burn out and find the things I truly loved in my life. These changes did not come easily nor did they come without bumps in the road. I now spend 90% of the time with a flute or paintbrush in my hands. Creating music and art. This is much different then the person that came into PHS as a freshman. ...

It's Been Far to Long....

I can't believe it has been a month and a half since my last post. Time has been flying by. December was a fun filled month with just about no time to just relax. I had multiple concerts and performances which were sure to keep me busy as well as just the normal hustle and bustle of the season. Christmas was a wonderful time once again. I enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family and the memories created and shared. Christmas is such a beautiful time that often gets lost in the craziness that we as a society place on the holiday. I just enjoy the time it allows me to spend with my family and friends. Christmas is especially important when your spending it with someone who has a terminal illness like Alpha-1. You don't know how many of these times you have left so you try and make the most of every moment that you get and Christmas is no exception to that for me. I truly enjoy making the most of the time I spend with my Dad even though it can get stres...

Something you collect With out even trying I constantly am adding to my collection of Music. I have file cabinets of music and sometimes when I go through them I rediscover something I didn't even remember I had. I love the feeling of getting a new piece and it being like Christmas every time they come in the mail. I get so excited like Santa has just left off some huge gift for me on Christmas morning even if its the middle of spring. I love music and all the possibilities. Something you Made I have been working on a lot of art pieces for portfolios and such and this was an art project as well as a school project. I had to use a line out of something I had written in my Creative writing class and some how illustrate it so this is what I did. I love doing art and always have. Creating things is one of my favorite things to do. Something that Makes you smile Something that most defiantly makes me smile is spending time with my friends although this is not a ...

I Could go on forever about how thankful I am...

Image
Over the last year since I last sat back to reflect on what I am thankful for so many events have occurred. Life changing ones and of course the minor ones that are just memories. This past year has shown me who I really should be thankful for as well as what I should be thankful for. I have had a long and hard year, broken bones, surgeries, deaths and much much more. It has been a rough year but some how I have made it through. I have made it through with the people that I should truly be thankful for, the ones who have stood by me through so much and have listened to my every need. They have supported me and picked me up when I am falling. People may think its cliche to say all this but its true and I am not sure how else to say it. My support system is incredible. My family has stood with me as they always do. They have pointed new perspectives out to me and helped me to realize things will get better and will be okay when they are crashing around me. My mom talks to me about ...
